Radiation Mark Removal Program
Laser Dermatology is proud to support the "New Beginnings" radiation mark removal program.
Based on a program devised by the American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), “New Beginnings” offers free removal of radiation tattoo markers after therapy has been completed.
Using gold standard tattoo removal lasers, the PicoSure® and Revlite SI™ Q-switched YAG laser, these reminders of past cancer treatments can be removed without leaving a scar.
Once cancer free, people can be distressed by the constant reminder of when they were unwell. Laser Dermatology has successfully been using lasers to remove decorative tattoos for 27 years and in that time we have seen people who have requested to have treatment marks removed.
We feel that this treatment should be available to anyone, at no charge, once their treating doctors have given permission to proceed.
All we need is a letter from your treating oncologist or surgeon giving us permission to remove these marks.
Revlite SI™
One of the earliest safe "skin" lasers, it is the gold standard for removal of decorative, cosmetic and traumatic tattoos. It is also used to remove brown birthmarks and benign flat pigmented lesions. Laser wavelengths 1064nms and 532nms
